In recent years, with the continuous improvement of the requirements of industrial automation production lines, electric cylinders have slowly entered the pneumatic field. Electric cylinders have significant advantages over conventional cylinders. It not only eliminates the piping and solenoid valves of traditional cylinders, there is no trouble of air leakage and maintenance, and through the real-time control of speed, the vibration problem of traditional cylinders is eliminated.
Conventional cylinders achieve speed control by adjusting one-way throttle valves mounted on both sides of the cylinder. This speed control method is only suitable for occasions where the speed value is not high. And the speed is affected by the size of the compressor pressure and the size of the solenoid valve and the aperture of the vent. The electric cylinder controls the running speed by controlling the frequency of the output current, and has the advantage of continuous adjustment, fast response, and accurate control of the speed through the feedback system.
2. End point buffer control, no impact
Generally, when the piston's piston movement speed is high (about 1m/s), the front and rear ends of the cylinder will be violently impacted at the end of the stroke, which may easily cause the vibration and damage of the cylinder. Therefore, cushioning devices (rubber pads) are generally installed at the ends to reduce or eliminate end impact. Or set a small confined space at the end of the cylinder to convert kinetic energy to pressure energy. The electric cylinder detects the position in real time through the microprocessor and precisely controls the speed. When moving to the end position, it quickly reduces its operating speed and achieves end-point buffer control.
3 can be arbitrarily added to the middle positioning point
The cylinder is good at reciprocating linear motion, it can also be added to the middle positioning point, mainly by electromagnetic valve, controller and stopper, but the positioning accuracy is not high, only 0.5mm, the highest can only reach 0.1mm. For users who require more precise positioning, the cylinders are far from meeting their requirements. The electric cylinder can add any number of intermediate stopping points at any position within the movement stroke according to the customer's requirements. In terms of accuracy, the electric cylinder also has absolute advantages, and the control accuracy can reach 0.02mm.
